Community News #2

At HIX, YOU are the content, and we’d be nothing without our community of leading exhibitors. Representing the best in hospitality FF&E – from bathrooms and lighting to soft furnishings, fabrics and more – the HIX Expo is a showcase of the most dynamic, curated and creative collections at the forefront of European interior design.

Each month in the run up to HIX 2022 (17th & 18th November) we’ll be sharing an edit of new lines and products, some of which you’ll be able to find on the exhibition floor come November.

Ege

56 new colours across Ege’s Eco carpet collection have been developed by Margrethe Odgaard to enhance the sustainable range’s signature visuals. Comprising regenerated yard made from nylon waste like discarded fishing nets and industrial offcuts, the range’s newly launched mineral-inspired shades work equally well together as social pairings as they do as individual statements.

Astro

Astro’s SS22 collection highlights streamlined silouhettes and sleek versatile tooling across reading, down and IP-rated lighting fixtures. Edward – available in twin, wall and desk variations – combines traditional and modernist sensibilities with a combination of bold die-cast matt black base and gold detailing which can be paired with the brand’s tapered drum shade. Meanwhile, the softer Aquina features ceiling or wall-mounted options and is characterised by the organic and atmospheric transparent double glass shade.

“Our latest lighting collection demonstrates the attention to detail and commitment to timeless design that we champion here at Astro,” says Riley Sanders, Astro’s Head of Design. “This is a collection of considered designs and quality manufacturing; lighting that will sit perfectly in any scheme, from bathrooms to bedrooms.”

Panaz

The nature-inspired botanical prints of Panaz’s Gardenia collection feature damask, floral and geometric patterns, and are available in base cloth options suitable for upholstery, curtains, cushions and accessories. Alongside hospitality settings, these striking visuals can also be deployed in healthcare, workspace and cruise environments thanks to their flame-retardant and anti-microbial composition.

“Our new Gardenia collection enables designers to seamlessly bring the calming sense of the outdoors into any commercial design scheme, without compromising performance or functionality,” says Sarah Lloyd, Design Director at Panaz.

Company procedure will be oriented towards energy efficiency and renewable resources, whilst further investment will be placed in the replacement of old electric machining systems and compressors with higher efficiency updates.
