What does JJ Teixeira do and what makes its offering unique?
JJTeixeira is the largest Industrial Woodworking Integrated Service company in Portugal. Our work is thoughtfully planned, innovatively customized, and responsibly made. We offer a complete 360º service, planning, manufacturing and installation of integrated custom-made carpentry, for the hotel and hospitality industry. We integrate the most emblematic projects.
How has your business adapted for the post-pandemic hotel and hospitality industry?
Hygiene has an increase importance in creating a safe and therefore attractive environments for hotel guests. In JJTeixeira we have solutions that incorporate materials that have an antibacterial treatment that eliminates 99,9% of the bacteria. These solutions are perfect for hospitality and restaurants.
What can the hotel and hospitality industry learn from the global pandemic?
Hotels must incorporate eco-friendly materials and reflect a cosy and homely environment. It improves the corporate brand image. The younger consumers will choose hotels that contribute to the community and to the environment.
Among the big social shifts to have occurred over the last 18 months (e.g. changing value expectations; hotels as workplaces; building trust and loyalty with Gen-Z; wellness; hotels as communities), which will be the most significant driver of change over the next 3-5 years and why?
We believe that post pandemic trends will be incorporated in the hospitality industry. The hotels as workplaces will have a significant impact in the way hotels are designed and perceived.
Hospitality venues have always provided meeting and conference spaces, well designed and thoroughly planned for businesses. But now, the various spaces will need to offer a greater spatial flexibility. Rooms will also be adapted and offer a workspace. Size and space matter, now.
And with the strengthening of coworking, creating pleasant environments and experiences for guests are in the hospitality industry’s agendas.
What products will you be featuring at HIX this year and why should visitors visit your stand?
We will be presenting our carpentry service, tailored-made, sustainably sourced, and fit for a purpose. We are the dream of any architect and designer, because we make it happen, with quality and excellency.
What are you most looking forward to about HIX 2021?
We are expecting a return to face-to-face events, with the opportunity to reconnect to professionals. There is nothing like human connections and doing business personally.
There is also the opportunity to develop partnerships and to study the market and its evolution.
